The Birds

Here are just a few of the birds I am currently looking after. I love them. Many of them rescues. The owner hopes to have nice big aviaries up and running by next summer for them all.

Re: The Birds

They are beauties all Elaine. How lovely it will be if their owner manages to build a big aviary for them.

I was once bitten by a sulphur crested cockatoo and still have a little crescent moon scar on one of my fingers ..... yup, I can still just see it - that was about 25 years ago! Some beak it had!

Re: The Birds

Got bit by one of the gala's today, little minx lulled me into a false sense of security, she loves to be cuddled and yesterday I had her in my arms for a cuddle. Today however she came down to the bottom of the cage, I opened the door, she put her head down for her neck to be tickled and then wham, my pinkie was in her beak. Its very hard to try not to pull away when it happens, you dont want to scare them but oh the pain.....
