tiffany's coat's not to good

Hello All,
I need some advice about tiffany's coat its not looking the best at the min. I've tried to brush her but she's not the sort of cat that will let you do this. Is there some sort of conditioning treatment I can buy but I'll also add she wont take tablets. Any advice would be great thank you
Regards Mandy.

Is she washing herself? Have you taken her to the vet?

When you say her coat is not looking its best, do you mean it is patchy or it looks dull? My Harry goes through phases when his coat looks dull and I give him fish oil over his food and it does do the trick. Sorry I do not have any expert advice to add. Good luck with it.

Thank you yes she does wash. I haven't taken her to the vet yet thought i'd ask for advice first. Do I get the fish oil from the pet shop?
Mandy.

Yes you could do, or you can feed her some tinned fish with some of the oil. It doesn't need to be a huge amount, but regular amounts should make you see a difference. I know people who pour a little bit of olive oil or even cod liver oil over their cat's food - I am no expert, but I would imagine it would do the same job.

How old is she? Long. short or medium haired? Have you tried a comb instead of the brush; possible she may tolerate that (although not too likely). Some oil from tuna or sardines is always a good idea, just a little either added to the food or in a small saucer. Other than her coat does she appear to be in good health, eating, using the tray appropriately, grooming herself?

She's about three and a half she's a british shorthair. She seems fine in her self eating going to the loo grooming ect. I've tried a comb no luck she hates it. I'll try the fish oil see how she goes. Thanks.

Ambers coat was very dull & looked dusty when she first came, it imprOved 10-fold on "Natures Menu" wet cat food
