Its just like a loud chattering chuk chuk noise, and they stamp their feet and flick their tails. They get quite stroppy, they are brave little things, I have seen them chasing the rooks which are quite large birds

What a great photo. I love the reds but like others we only have the greys. You are so lucky Het. It's great when you share them with us though.

Super pics and what an amazing colour - I'd love to see more pictures when you have a moment to snap them!

I heard our grey squirrels chattering the other year, I think it was at a cat that was sat at the bottom on the tree they were in. You're right, they do make a racket!
