A spy in the trees!!!

He was watching me yesterday while I was gardening, hoping for a piece of apple or some pine nuts

Re: A spy in the trees!!!

It is in my garden....they first appeared two years ago and have stayed around, not sure how many there are now but there were 5 at the feeders at the same time earlier this year. They aren,t using the feeder too much at the moment as theres so much around for them to eat....but I do still put apple and carrot out for them.
Its great fun at this time of year watching them so busy burying things

Thanks Dawn...I never get tired of watching them either....so acrobatic in the trees. Its the only good thing about losing the leaves...you can see them better

He's gorgeous, we only get the monstrous grey ones here. I've only once seen a red squirrel in the flesh, that was in the gardens at Versailles!

Siamese lost interest fairly quickly, realised it was too much like hard work, Boo was quite interested and I was a bit worried so I moved the feeders higher up and he seemed to lose interest after that. The squirrels are surprisingly vocal and I have heard them chattering at him if he sits and watches them
