Re: Last Night of the Proms

Angie, No i can't take it, please don't say summer is over
Forgot to tell you all, we went to last night at the proms last Sat at our local village hall. It was held outside in the field and there was a choir , solo singers and a silver band. We took drinks and nibbles, wore our cardboard union jack hats and waved our flags with gusto.
Only thing that spoiled it a bit was our drunken neighbour.
He's a very lonely man so we invited him to come with us, he was already well gone and became convinced they wanted him on stage to sing, he became quite angry when we had to tell him no. On the way home he fell twice, once into the brook and had to be practicaly carried home.
Needless to say he wont be invited again.

Re: Last Night of the Proms

So sorry about your neighbour spoiling your Prom, Shelly.

It's been a lovely evening. The most ever promenaders this year. Even Kizzy and Pip enjoyed it! Kizzy loved the flags.

That's a shame that your neighbour spoiled the prom, Shelley.

I always thinks summer starts and ends with the proms! We had season tickets for a couple of years and have been to a few 'last nights' - great fun!
