Well, salt is sodium chloride which is an acid so I would think it burnt the poor slug by drawing out all its moisture ............ that's only my guess mind!

What a horrible way to die. Although I detest the things i tend to run from them rather that harm them but have heard of people doing it.
So Mags, Miss Smarty Pants, how come they take 4 to 12 hours to mate and in my house it takes 4 to 12 seconds?

Slugs love beer! Put a saucer of stale beer in the garden to trap them...(awful waste of good beer IMO....)
