Please Take Care!

It's that time of the year again......fireworks, sparklers and huge bonfires. This coming weekend will probably be full of fireworks being let off every night..

Loud, sporadic noises that don’t have an obvious source can be frightening and confusing for your cat. If your cat has access to the outdoors, please make sure he/she’s in before it gets dark and then shut the cat flap and close the windows. Even if you’re not having a fireworks party yourself, your neighbours might be, and panicking animals can easily run away and get lost or injured.

Most of the accidents at this time of the year happen to children and pets, so please take care with your little ones.

Every year animals suffer physically and mentally during November as a result of noisy firework displays and inconsiderate people. Turn the radio or television up louder to help drown the noise of what's going on outside...

It's far better to have a safe pet than a traumatised one.

Enjoy yourselves but please stay safe everyone!

Thats a good post Mags, I almost forge about Bonfire night now as Sal is totaly unfussed, I sometimes forget how stressful it was with the cats although they were not fussed in the house I always worried when they were out and about.

I worry about the little one nearby who has no access to her house. When we return on Monday we will try and get her inside, upstairs

My two are not too bad. They seem to react more to the bright flashing lights than to the noise. We normally keep all the windows closed, curtains closed and all the lights on .

Re: Please Take Care!

Two of my three aren't bothered (though we did shut them in well before dark today). Cleo isn't too happy and I'm currently considering joining her in the airing cupboard as I HATE fireworks.
