Cloud climbs the fireplace...

Since it was mentioned elsewhere, i thought people might like to see the pictoral evidence of Clouds escapade with the fireplace. Think I only just caught it, and she probably jumped off at the top... Haven't had it on as yet, so thankfully enough it was not hot. She's certainly a climber!!!

Oh, and yes, the books from the book case are now plugging every gap she might get into which might not be the best space for a kitty!

Wow! Kitties do like to climb - please don't forget to unblock the ventilation before you put your fire on! Might be an idea to get a guard that you can fix to the wall???

Re: Cloud climbs the fireplace...

I did look into various different ways of blocking the fireplace just after I got her, to no avail. TBH I've only used the thing once since I took over the place - just after I got the lease. But yes, I'm not putting the fire on with the books there - too big a fire hazard for me - it feels like it's pushing it as is...

She's a curious little climber indeed, and a good one! Interesting dolls, are they antique? Are you a collector?

Re: Cloud climbs the fireplace...

Dolls aren't antique no, bought new for various birthdays as I grew older when I went through a phase - mid to late teenage years.

I'm not a collecter as such, but I liked these ones so much I didn't get rid of them as I did some of the others. Think those two and one other are it on the number I own now...

Re: Cloud climbs the fireplace...

She is lovely!

We did have a childhood cat who got into the chimney via a very small space beneath a gas fire- she was retrived OK and christened Smokey....
