Re: New Crime Drama Zen starts tonight

I kind of half-watched it whilst working on the laptop as I adore Rufus Sewell . . . prrrrrr

However, whilst I thought it was extremely stylish in terms of the actors, location and cinematography, I felt it lacked substance in terms of storyline or maybe it just wasn't interpreted as strongly as it could have been.

I will give it another go though - mainly as I can't resist Smouldrin' Sewell . . .

Re: New Crime Drama Zen starts tonight

Did anyone watch the second episode?

I am warming to this series, even taking Yola's comments into account. It is so stylish and I thought last night's episode was a lot darker. Very Italian - lots of surface beauty but a dark heart (just like Tobias Jones' book).

Not absolutely sure that Rufus Sewell's rather lovely character is quite as I'd imagined Dibdin's description of the detective but it was a long while ago that I read the books.
