Angie, doesn't something like that take up a lot of memory? I'm a bit paranoid about memory; my old Mac was running slower and slower, and I suspect it was stuff I didn't know how to remove. Every day I delete all my browsing history, cache and most cookies.

your mac is new so it should have plenty of memory on it!
i have the free version of microsoft office on here. if your worried about removing space i use this http://www.piriform.com/CCLEANER

I agree with Lynz - your brand spanking new computer will have a huge memory. Do you know what capacity it is?

If you do have memory issues, it will be things like photographs taking up the space. You could transfer your photos onto a web host, such as Photobucket or Picassa or a memory stick?

Hi, thanks for all the info. Sorry to say I have no idea how to find out how much memory there is, or how to transfer photos to a memory stick. My best ones are already on PhotoBucket.

Eileen, to find out your info.........

Click on the Apple icon, top left of your Mac and click on "About this Mac" ....... a small box will open with details of Processor and Memory.

Click on "More info" in this box and you will get a Hardware Overview showing everything you need to know about your Mac....... speed, memory etc.

Just close the boxes in the usual way.

Thanks, Mags. I did that, but in all honesty didn't understand what the hardware overview meant. I mean, how much is a gigabyte? What wiukd be helpful would be a horizontal bar such as we have on our PM page, where the used part is colored, so you can look at it and see if you have a lot left or are getting full. That would be so much easier to understand.
