Re: Sunny Saturday

It's 'kind of' sunny here too, but there's a bit of a bite in the air. Yesterday I bought a plastic coldframe for the allotment which I constructed (with much ranting and swearing ). I will probably invest in a greenhouse next year but for the moment the little sturdy plastic thing will do.

Today OH and the boys have just gone off to Alton to collect one of these old-fashioned all-in-one school desk + chair efforts that I picked up there last week for £40 on a break from Thomas the Tank Engine-ing. It'll need sanding and waxing but will be great in Dominik's room

I'm on laundry duty and watching Balie because he's just been sick everywhere and did a runny in the litter tray. I was going to flea treat them all, but I think I'll hold off a day or two with him. However I think the laundry duty won't take long so I'll have a quite read of my book shortly

Have a lovely Saturday one and all!

Re: Sunny Saturday

Hi all - I remember those desks from school Yola - it'll be lovely once renovated. These sturdy plastic frames are v good. I bought one a few years back as a temporary thing and it's still going strong. Hope Balie is ok.

Sun is trying to get through here, bit cloudy and cold wind but dry again - hurrah!

Alfie has taken a shine to banana this morning! I had sliced some up on toast and he's away with a bit. Now, had I tried to hand feed him a bit he would've refused point blank.

Sheep and garden today. If all quiet may try to talk OH into a chicken house discussion!

Enjoy the day everyone.

Re: Sunny Saturday

Lazy household here this morning, didn't get up until 10am!! But we did have an excuse as Raechel was performing at a show last night and it was nearly 11 when we all got in, rather exhausted lol.

Hoping it brightens up so I can spend the day in the garden (and of course kitten watching lol). Hope everyone has a good day.

Re: Sunny Saturday

Sunny here but still on the chilly side, hopefully it will warm up over the weekend.

Caught Cassie in the garden earlier with a mouse squeaking its little head off .......managed to distract her enough for her to let go of the mouse and it scuttled away under cover........ fortunately they was no sign of injury to it. I think she may have found a mouse nest in an overgrown garden not far away as she disappears for hours in the evening now ..... normally she will stay in or around the garden.

Good to see you back Moli, hope the journey home wasn't as stressful as going..

Enjoy the weekend everyone, hope the sun is shining on you..

Re: Sunny Saturday

Good morning all. Moli - I would have waved to you as you passed over here if I'd twigged that you were flying yesterday. Good luck with the jet lag! OH and I were very pleased that we had managed to sleep till 6.30 this morning. We'll be perfectly adjusted by the time we have to leave
It's a beautiful day again - 22C later, slight breeze, clear blue sky etc. May be thunder later tomorrow though - and someone said tornadoes! There was a severe storm the day before we arrived - trees flattened, power out etc so it's obviously changeable.
I'm spending some of my free time reading Barack Obama's biography, Dreams From My Father, which is excellent. It's very very well written and, I think, shows a lot of the man and the reasons he is as he is.
Have a lovely day, doing whatever you are planning; I hope the sun shines on you too
