Monday Daily.

Good morning everyone.
Monday early evening here after a mixed day weather wise. Raining this morning, then got up to 24 degrees by mid afternoon. I had a good weekend. My cousin came round on Saturday and brought some asparagus rolls for lunch. Asparagus is one of the foods I can eat, so I enjoyed them. She actually started going through some of her stuff in the front conservatory and took some china away with her.Hopefully she might sort out a bit more stuff next weekend when she comes.I'm keeping everything crossed. !!!

I did a bit more cleaning and sorting in the back conservatory today, before it got too hot.I'm still struggling to pick up the white fur on the grey/black carpet out there but it's near impossible. The cats lie out there all the time and their fur just sticks to this horrid carpet. It was put down by EQC when they were repairing the house, but definitely NO GOOD for long haired white cats.

I'm off to the doctor tomorrow morning for another BP test. I hope it's gone down a bit more but I don't think so. I'm going to buy a BP monitor this week and check it myself regularly. If it doesn't come down and stay down, then there's not much point taking these horrid pills from the specialist that prevent me from eating so many things that I love.

PAMELA,that motorbike of yours must be looking pretty flash now ,with the new headlight and windshield. What sort of bike is it ?The guy across the road has a big Harley Davidson as do all his mates, and when they all visit together, there is a most impressive line of Harleys out on the street. They make a heck of a racket when they all leave too.I hope you enjoyed your Indian on Saturday night and your pizza on Sunday night. Oh Pamela, I'm so jealous. !!! Hopefully the weather has cleared a bit for you today and there's a bit of sunshine for you.I bet you're pleased to be finally getting your first covid vaccine this week. At least it will make you feel a bit safer. We're still vaccinating our border workers only and no word when the general public will be getting their vaccines. Hopefully it will be soon, as it looks as if we're getting another outbreak in Auckland at the moment.

SHELLEY, I'm so pleased that you got your weasel. Have you photographed him yet ? I agree, it is so hard organizing collections, but what a sense of achievement when it's completed. Poor Malaika not enjoying walking at the brickcroft anymore. Have you got a nice warm coat for her ? I'm glad she enjoyed the new route, but how awful her losing her ice cream like that. I'm sure Kwame didn't mean to take it all. I'm glad you shared yours with her. I don't know if you're back at work today or not, but if so, enjoy .!!!

YOLA and KAZZ, hope you both have a great Monday and the sun shines for you today.

Well everyone, have a good day today, and stay warm and safe.

Re: Monday Daily.

Hello! Woke up at just after 6am to SNOW - and lots of it. The plan was to come into the office today, but I held off leaving until 8.30 by which time the snow had stopped. There was a good 5cm on the car, but it was already wet and sliding off. However, it had stuck to everything in the garden. Thank goodness the council had the foresight to grit the roads otherwise it wouldn've been too dangerous to drive.

Anyhow - I'm at the office. On my own. It's lovely and warm and now we have slatted blinds on the windows the echo has subsided a lot.

I'm going to wrap up in a minute and go and get some lunch as sun is shining - looks bitter out there though.

The pigeons, magpies and even the crows were all lining up for their bread this morning so I gave them extra and also refilled the bird feeder. Those greedy sparrows are emptying the feeder on a daily basis now!!

Re: Monday Daily.

Evening all.
First day back in at work, well half a day actually.
It went well, felt a bit hectic as I needed to put all my stuff away that I was returning and get new topic stuff.
Felt a little rusty with the signing too and it's only been 2 weeks of not signing.
Just shows how quickly you can lose it.
Dinky, yes Malaika has a coat but it doesn't seem to make much difference once she's in a mood, lol.
She enjoyed the seaside walk but sat sulking on the beach when she'd had enough, might be her age.
A blood pressure monitor sounds a good idea, mine tends to go higher at the docs.
Be a good idea to chart it for a week or so.
Pamela, Indian then pizza, bliss.
Yola glad the snow cleared for you getting to work, hope you had a nice lunch.
Did your business have any luck with Derek's lift?
I believe he's now home.
Hope you are OK Kazz.

Re: Monday Daily.

Shelley - we have permission to site the lift they want it, just waiting to hear on the wheelchair he's likely to be using as our lift will take all but the largest. So once we have the all-clear on that, we'll be discussing installation dates. Exciting! And yes, it's good that he's finally home. Hopefully with the love and care of his family he can make some kind of positive recovery.
