At last... Lake District Holiday photos!We went on holiday to the Lake District a few weeks ago. We were very lucky with the weather (unusual for us) My daughter, OH and foster child came, plus dogs. My eldest stayed at home and looked after the cats. We went to a very dog friendly cottage that has its own private walk -the dogs loved it. Anyway, here are a selection of photos. Oh PL, Yola - you must go! Don't go in high season though - I never have but I expect the little narrow roads would be jammed. |

It is beautiful Yola & PL. Definitely a place to visit. Wordsworth's home is so interesting as it Beatrix Potter's home, Hilltop. The scenery is absolutely amazing. Angie, the narrow lanes aren't too bad, but some of the main roads can be busy, we didn't find it too bad though tbh. |

Fantastic holiday had by all by the looks of it. Good weather too. When you say Tarn Hows is that the grounds of the cottage you stayed in or the district? |

How pretty I love the lake district, it is so beautiful, though I haven't been a for about 2 years. Must think about heading there next summer. Glad you had such great weather Kim. |
