Make Your Nature Count 2-10 June 2012

Make Your Nature Count 2-10 June 2012

Tell us what slithers, tweets, forages and snuffles in your garden this summer.
Get involved in the UK's largest garden wildlife survey and help us find out how wildlife is doing this summer. We’d like you to record the birds you see in one hour (on one day between 2-10 June), and let us know what other creatures visit your garden. You’ll be joining thousands of other people as you step up for nature, helping us build up a picture of how summer wildlife is faring.

Re: Make Your Nature Count 2-10 June 2012

Interesting link lisa!
WELL!...I've counted 11 of these..in the space of 1 min! (Newt *waves* 'hi')

..laying eggs on the barley straw pad, and showing off her spotted tum..

Solitary bees nesting in the insect box, 11 again, the adult bees will emerge next spring

..and a very camera shy hedgehog! I have 2 nest/hibernaculum boxes so I'm hoping one's taken up residence or even nested there ..However, this is all I have seen of the shy little fella!!

I get these red-legged-partridges out the back most evenings, but that wouldn't count in my hour's survey, still, they're lovely birds.

Green with envy truth at such a variety of creatures visiting you We tend to just get some garden birds and a load of pigeons lol. I know we have a froggie in our wee pond, but that's about it.
