Granny meets Baby

Had a super visit to London today to meet our new family member. He'd had an assisted birth and was rather battered and bruised at the moment from the ventouse and just the sheer effort of getting himself into the world - well he's a big boy!

Proud Daddy introduces Baby to Grandma

He's very sleepy but opened his eyes just a wee bit!

Had enough now! leave me alone!

The view from the window, look what lies just over the river! Bet you didn't know you could get that on the NHS

Re: Granny meets Baby

Just lovely - any names yet? How's his Mum doing now?

I was in St Thomas' in almost the same ward back in 1980 as I remember that amazing view. Not in maternity I'd hasten to add . . .

Re: Granny meets Baby

Mum's fine now Yola, thanks for asking, had a really good sleep last night, the ward was very peaceful (now that's a rarity for a hospital!) Baby is still very sleepy and feeding not yet established but it's very early days. Once he's worked out what he's supposed to be doing then they'll be going home.

Possible names ( but I'm not keen, good job it's none of my business ) Dylan Matthew
