New Pastels - experiment - Mitten for Natalie - work in progress

Well I got these new pastels 72 pastels for under £10 so I wanted to have a go at a drawing, looked through the list of catpages members cats to see which one I thought would be suitable, and I chose Natalie's Mitten.

Just roughly putting in some of the darker colouring

added most of the white to the body, although it looks cream in this photo!!!

Now it is starting to come together

I still have loads to do, loads more work on the face, tail, feet and fur

Re: New Pastels - experiment - Mitten for Natalie - work in progress

I love working in pastels Donna they are so quick, although I am self taught so I just sort of fumble along with them. I cannot wait until I do this pastel workshop in May, I am hoping to learn so much!!! This will be the 3rd proper drawing I have done in pastels I think

Mitten so far has taken me about 1.5 hours, about another 1.5 hours and it will be done. I will finish her off during the week, as I need to clarify with Natalie a couple of points before I go too far with it.
