Saturday daily.

Good morning Pamela and Shelley,,
Saturday evening here 7.15pm after a beautiful day. It's still sunny outside and very light. This is the second attempt at posting. Last night I was just about to send my "Friday daily" when it disappeared. My computer needs another check over I think, so will get Jared on the job.

Well, for the first time in two years, I'm sitting here typing with a large dog snoring and drooling on my foot. - yes, Pearl arrived last night and so far, she hasn't been too badly behaved. My cats are locked away, which is the only downside, but gosh, it was wonderful to have a dog on my bed again last night. Pearl doesn't appear to be missing Hillary at all, is eating well and is responding well to me, although not so much with Janna. Pearl has been eating dehydrated chicken necks as treats for being obedient and listening to my voice and as she's very food orientated, it has worked.Just like Willow, she's been "guarding" the house by lying at the security door, and flinging herself at it when anyone walks past.Lucky it's a steel door. I'm not going to take her for a walk though, as I'm not sure she'd listen to me if she saw someone out on the street. It's not worth the risk.Hillary will be home tomorrow sometime and she can walk her then.

My cousin actually came round today for the first time in ages. She picked a bad day, as Pearl tried to eat her at the door. I managed to calm both her and Pearl down, but my cousin was a bit frightened and Pearl wouldn't stop growling ,so my cousin decided not to come in. We sat in her car for a bit and I gave her her birthday presents and she said she'd come round next weekend, which is good.

My new doctor is drop dead gorgeous., and he has a lovely manner. My diabetes checks were all good and he's happy with me. I've got to have more blood tests in a week's time to check on sodium and potassium levels

Janna and I went to her dentist yesterday. Andrew (dentist) saw that the wisdom tooth was causing her pain and asked if she wanted him to take it out straight away and she said yes. Earlier ,he said he wasn't able to take it out as it was too impacted and she would have to be referred to an oral surgeon, but yesterday, he said it had moved quite a lot since he last saw her, and he was now able to get to it more easily. It was a bit of a struggle getting it out, but it's gone now and she's not in so much pain now and a lot happier. She's got to go back in a couple of weeks to have sealants put on some of her teeth. We had a nice look at the Bishopdale shops while we were there, and Janna even managed to eat a few hot chips and drink a mug of hot chocolate !!! Today, she went out xmas shopping with Brenna, but she won't tell me what she bought. Something for me probably.

Brenna's lip is starting to get sore again. She's still got a few of the dissolving stitches in it which haven't dissolved and is going back to the specialist to have them removed. Then to make matters worse, poor Brenna was driving home after dropping Janna off, when she was involved in a car accident. Luckily she's OK but her car isn't. I don't quite know what happened but presumably she was stopped at a stop sign and another car coming towards her on the opposite side of the road veered towards her and crashed into her. I'll let you know more when I find out. Thankfully she isn't injured but she's furious with the other driver

Well that's all my news. Just heard that it's meant to be 24 degrees tomorrow. That's getting a bit hot for me. I've told Brenna that I want a Dyson Pure Cool for xmas to use in the bedroom. She said yes !!! Pearl keeps hearing Miracle meowing at the bedroom door and giving wee growls. I'd love to let the cats out but I can't risk Pearl seeing them. Janna is going to go and sit in the bedroom with them soon.

PAMELA, I'm sorry your weather has turned wet and cold. Thursday must have been a difficult day for you. I'm glad that you had a pink gin to celebrate your mum and you didn't bother about Robyn's training that day. You've got to do what feels right to YOU. Anything that helps YOU has got to be good. I hope that you pick out a lovely pair of boots for yourself this weekend. It sounds like you're going to need them soon. You'll be looking forward to seeing the dentist soon. Not long to wait now. Thank goodness that tooth hasn't been causing you any pain. I do hope the dentist doesn't need to take it out. Did you manage to get any work done on the train the other day ? I don't think I'd be able to work on a train - I'd be too busy looking out the window.

SHELLEY, I hope all is well with you and Howard and you have managed to shake off that bug AND your book is now with the online publisher.

Well ladies, I'm going to move my foot (it's gone all numb with Pearl's big head on it) and go and make myself a cup of tea. Got Doc Martin on TV tonight. I never used to watch it, but now I love it. Janna has gone in to be with the cats. Wild birds have all been fed. Oh yes, meant to tell you that Jack turned up for food last night, but no Vera. I hope she's just with her babies and is OK.

Have a lovely weekend Pamela and Shelley. Hope the weather clears up a bit for you both. Love to all Catsey cats, and dogs, and of course Loona and Reuben - hope they are both doing well.
