Favourite Meals

We decided to have a night in and order a take away. It was pointed out to me that no matter what was chosen everyone could predict what I'd have.

So my favourites are:
Chip Shop - Haddock in Breadcrumbs with chips
Italian - Penne Arabiatta
Chinese - Sweet and Sour chicken - cantonese style
Indian - Lamb Rogan Josh
Mexican - Chicken Fajitas
Greek - Mousakka
Thai - Aromatic Chicken Curry

What do you choose?

What a good thread! We don't have a Fish & Chips here, and I've never eaten in a Greek restaurant, don't care for Mexican, but choice in the others would be:

Italian - mussels marinara with linguine
Chinese - shrimp in lobster sauce
Indian - chicken curry (hot)
Thai - ka pow chicken

So my favourites are:

Chip Shop - Fish , chips, Mushy peas
Italian - pizza lol , not sampled much Italian
Chinese - Duck pancakes & real schezuan style dishes , not the dodgy one you get in most places.
Indian - BIRIYANI King prawn
Mexican - burritos with everything
Greek - Lamb souvlakia, stuffed eggplant, Baklava Yumm.
Thai - Thai seafood salad - very hot and Gaeng Ped Yang, sticky rice for pud
Japanese - Most sushi , nothin with a pulse tho

Talk about hungry...it's TWO WHOLE HOURS before dinner time here, Matt, am drooling on the keyboard. !

Can we add side appetizers?

Italian - fried battered zucchini strips
Chinese - steamed shrimp shiu mai
Thai - fried calamari

Your thread makes me realise how poorly off we are in this area for take aways!

Chip Shop - Haddock in Breadcrumbs with chips (definitely with you there CM)
Italian - Mushroom risotto - but v. difficult to choose as I love Italian food.
Chinese - something with black bean sauce and Buddhist vegetables (think that was something just one Chinese chef did at a local pub - wonderful)
Indian - Chicken Jalfrezi
Mexican - never had Mexican
Greek - never had Greek
Thai - never had Thai
Japanese - never had Japanese

Greek - just about anything! My favorite food on earth - especially spanakopita (spinach pies!!!!!!!)

I have trouble at Italian & Mexican restaurants 'cause I'm not supposed to have cow cheese and I have to find non-cheese dishes... and WATCH everyone else eat their cheese! Still - there are things I can find...

My favorite restaurant is a Burmese one (in Silver Spring, for the DC-ites) - and my 2 favorites there are a catfish curry with tamarind and pork with sour mustard - it wasn't a green I was familiar with - NOT our typical mustard, I don't think... but I love it!

There's also a pizza place that delivers & they have great things like chicken/pesto pizza - yummy!!

My favourites are:
Chip Shop - Chicken and mushroom pie, mushy peas and chips with lots of salt and vinegar.
Italian - Lasagne
Chinese - Chicken and cashew nuts, pot of BBQ sauce and chips.
Indian - Chicken Korma and vegetable rice.
Mexican - Never eat it
Greek - Never eat it
Thai - I like Thai red curry, but I woudl never choose to buy this. I would only make it at home.

This is a great & delicious thread! Nice to see what everyones favorite meals are...

My favorites are:
Chinese - Sweet & Sour Chicken, Chicken or Pork Fried Rice,
Teriyaki Noodles, Crab Rangoons, & Egg Drop Soup
Italian - Anything! Including Garlic Bread Can't forget pizza!
Mexican - Anything as long as its spicy!

I love anything with bread, pasta, & salad. Thats about it for me! Now I am hungry
