My poor winter jasmine

It lost a lot of buds due to the bitter spell of Arctic weather we had, but is trying bravely to bloom now, Nice to see something in bloom. This pic came out a bit fuzzy (??), but you get the idea. This is only its third year.

Lovely to see some flowers out after the cold spell you've had there Eileen....it's lucky to have survived.

Poor thing
A bit of solar therapy should get it looking a bit more cheerful though. Hope the sun shines for you soon

I am sure it will buck up. They are quite hardy (I think, I hope!)

Re: My poor winter jasmine

This was an unusually cold Winter so far for us; I'm surprised it managed to keep some buds. There's a huge old one I pass on the way to the market; will try to remember to take the camera and get a pic. It's quite spectacular. Actually, mine is from a cutting of it that I . erm....liberated ...a few years back...

That's amazing - I too have found myself liberating a few plants here and there

Would love to see a pic of that one in full bloom.

I have a jasmine which was inherited in this garden. Small red flowere - loses all buds and leaves over winter but comes ok in spring so I'm sure yours will be fine.

Lol, if we weren't meant to "liberate" the odd cutting, then why do pocket knives have a wee pair of scissors on them?

(Rootone is handy to have around also...)
