Breakdown...grrrrr

I was looking forward to roast lamb for our dinner this evening...... lamb had been in the oven for about 15 minutes then.....pfftt .......my oven packed in!

The fan is still working but it looks like the thermostat/elements have gone

Fortunately it's a double oven and the small one is still working so I was able to transfer the joint into there, it just took longer to cook.

Trust this to happen near to Christmas

We'll try to get a service engineer out to see the damage......just hope he's not going to say we need a new cooker, this one is only 6 years old.........

6 years doesn't seem very long - I hope it can be repaired

Good grief, what is it with this forum lately. We've had boilers pack up, washing machines, freezers and now cookers. Are you lot jinxed or something? (mental note to look into protection spell for my white goods)
