Just Matilda..

Here's Matilda, just taken these photos of her. She is just the most loving cat ever towards humans and canines. What a shame that she just hates other felines

She's really lovely Fran, however do you manage to have her living with other cats though?

When she decides she wants to come in, we have to put her into the dining room on her own. We have to do the same with Sylv too but he goes in Tom's bedroom. It was difficult in the early days but it's just part of our routine now. We have being doing this since a couple of years before Lucky died so we are all used to it. The only cat Matilda will tolerate is Claude so occasionally he will go into the dining room to keep her company. Slyv will not tolerate any of the other cats Slyv has Tom for company and we all take it in turns to sit in the dining room to keep Tilly company and she enjoys the dogs' company too

Fran, Matilda is beautiful!

I'd like to congratulate you on making allowances for Matilda's and Sylvester's inability to get on with your other cats and letting them remain an important part of your furfamily, well done!

Re: Just Matilda..

Thank you Mags, We get by and it's not as difficult as you would think to keep them separate. Things are done here on their terms, if they want to come in they do and if they don't then we don't force them. Sylv and Tilly are the only two of our cats that are allowed out at night if they wish and they do have access to the porch via a cat flap so that they can get in somewhere dry and warm if they want to but they can only get into the main part of the house when we let them in so as to safeguard the wellbeing of the other cats. It's their choice what they want to do as they have always been allowed outside access at night and due to their natures I think it would be too stressful to force them to stay in if they didn't want to. Maud, Claude and Clooney have never been allowed out at night so they know that their routine is to be in as it goes dark
