Re: Ripple Friday

Morning Kazz, I'm on a train to London for a meeting and it is pelting down out there! I have a brolly but they can be a bit of a liability in a London. I hope you feel a bit better today - it is really scary when you are ill, particularly for someone as active as you!

PP, yes OH is an archaeological photographer and I'm a specialist in archaeology and heritage education although we have both served our time as diggers. We met on a dig (cue many jokes about 'look what I dug up'). We both worked with Phil Harding for a few years as we worked at Wessex Archaeology and Phil on TT is exactly as he is in real life - mad!

Re: Ripple Friday

afternoon Karen, CS and anyone else.
Karen i'm sorry to hear you are feeling a bit overwhelmed. One day at a time.
CS, yes there was digging in Dunragit before they did the road, i'm sorry to say i wouldn't have the patience to dig, Chris and myself took the metal detector on the beach and i soon lost interest, all we found though was a can, hardly the stuff to excite, lol.
Not brilliant weather wise today, got wet this morning walking the hounds, cleared up a bit now so we shall see.
Stranraer trip cancelled until tomorrow

Re: Ripple Friday

Hi Kazz, CS and Shelley. I started a post and I think it got lost when OH snuck in on the computer just because I'd gone to get a duster for the scanner table ..... never leave a seat unattended or beware gazzump!

It's muggy and overcast here but no rain yet. I've hung washing out but am not confident it will dry outdoors today.

Kazz, I'm sorry to hear that you are struggling, it's not like you at all - so BIG HUGS from me hun.

We have our fingers crossed for Sunday weather - forecast is not good and it's our agility group's Summer Party, but if the weather is bad I for one won't be going - the site is very exposed and there is hardly any shelter.

I am waiting for some urgent transcription work for this afternoon, so my planned scriptorium work will have to be put on hold until tomorrow. I won't really be sorry to give up on dribs and drabs of work, always urgent when they arrive and big gaps in between. I had my pension paperwork arrive from DWP this morning, just 6 months to go.

I'm going to send a virtual hug to everybody today, so one, two, three ..... HUG!!!

Brilliant, we LOVE Phil in this house and mourn the loss of Mick Aston, bless him.

Re: Ripple Friday

Good afternoon all!
Feeling green with envy today as Claire and family are off on holiday tomorrow, as is my niece Rhian, then my parents trot off on Monday Nobody here but us chickens, ah well, we have a full fridge and a solid roof over our heads. Which will come in handy when Bertha hits us soon!

Hope the farm shop had some goodies for you Kazz, nothing better than fresh, organic and locally sourced food. It will do you the power of good.
Angie, you're doing wise avoiding the summer (?) get together with the agility group- no sense in getting a drenching.
Shelley, take care in this weather. I haven't put the clothes outside to dry, they are in the conservatory on the airer, it's warm but very overcast, as we're off out for tea I'll dry indoors.

All fur and feathered friends at home are fine cuddles for all yours too. x
