Kitchen update

Well who remembers my 'welly rack'? It's gone!!!!

It's only gone into the garage where it was meant to have gone in the first place

My tumble dryer has finally made it into the kitchen next to the washing machine and all the shoes have now gone into the cupboard where the tumble dryer used to be.

I have also managed to paint the one alcove in the kitchen and stripped most of the horrible tounge & groove wallpaper off the walls. I've been very lucky as 99.9% of the lining paper has stayed up aswell so I should just be able to paint straight over the paper

Hopefully, while hubby's away me and a few friends are going to crack on to try and get the kitchen finished.

Here we are so far.

Re: Kitchen update

We're getting there. Just got the otherside of the kitchen to sort out now. Finish stripping the paper off the worksurface side of the kitchen and fill any holes and replaster some areas that need leveling off. Hopefully by the time hubby comes home from Dubai next Wednesday he'll have a nice surprise and I'll have a nice, newly decorated kitchen.

Re: Kitchen update

Thanks guy's

I was wondering whether to put a little wall light in the alcove or to leave it as it is? Have also bought a blank canvas to either paint myself or to add some of the left over curtain material to to put on the wall to break it up a bit.

Hubby knows I'm up to something as whenever he goes away he always comes back to me having redecorated something but he doesn't know about my friends coming in to help me declutter and completely finish the kitchen.
