I too, remember Alan "Greetings, pop pickers" Freeman ........ noted for his woolley jumpers, that's where he got the nickname Fluff from........

And for constantly 'Fluffing' his lines (or so I understand)

He was never my bag - as when I was listening to the radion Annie Nightingale and John Peel were cooler than cool and Fluff was a bit of an old fart (sorry).

Still - he did pave the way for a new style of informal DJ-ing and for that he should be saluted. He also commanded huge respect from his peers - RIP Alan
