Windy Monday.

Good morning everyone. Monday early evening here and boy, is it windy out there. Not cold though at 11 degrees, but is meant to rain tonight.
I've been trying to ring the groomer all day but there's no answer. I'm hoping she hasn't gone away on holiday.I'll try her again tomorrow, as I want to book the first cat in as soon as possible. I'll just have to take one at a time because she does take a long time with them and I think it would be too much for her to have to do two,one after another. It would be too stressful for me too, because I have to hold the cat for her. Snoddy has finally got over his visit and I'm sure he feels much better, even if he does look a bit peculiar in places.Miracle is the only one who doesn't need to go, as her fur is only medium length and doesn't matt, thank goodness. As she's very feisty, I'm glad I don't have to take her.

Cinder got her stitches out today............in the carpark ! She refused to go in and she's a bit heavy to lift, so the nurse had to come out to her.Honestly that dog is so spoilt. Personally I would have made her go in so she didn't get the better of me, but then she's not my dog so it's not my business. She's a lovely dog, but very dominant .Thank goodness she's a golden retriever and not a mastiff.

My Willow has now been gone for one whole year. It still seems like yesterday and it still doesn't seem quite real.I carry her ashes into the bedroom every night and bring them into the lounge every morning.Even now, I'm crying when I think of her, which is most of the time. Her presence is so tangible and sometimes I can almost sense her lying by me in the lounge. Miracle has started carrying Willow's soft toys from the back conservatory into the lounge at night while meowing all the time. I think she's bringing them to us as gifts and I hope she keeps doing it. We always praise her.

The cats love the heat coming from the new heat pump. They lie on their backs on the floor just by it and look totally ridiculous. It didn't take them long to figure out the best position to get warm.

PAMELA,sounds as if you had a great day at Largs and how thoughtful of Steven to give you a speedboat ride. You'll be looking forward to going back there with the ladies group this week. Hope you get nice weather for the trip. I bet your sister was pleased with her birthday gifts, and yes, it is wise to give teenagers money for birthday gifts. I hope your niece had a great day as well. Sadly, my cousin didn't win anything at the casino on her birthday but she did have a nice meal - liver and bacon with potato mash and onions - which she said she enjoyed.

SHELLEY,sounds as if you had an interesting weekend. The Cobham doll fair must have been fun, especially as you had some friends with you. Sorry about your Korean meal on Saturday night though. How disappointing for you. At least you'll know what not to order next time.Hope you have a good and safe trip to Scotland today.

I'm going to go and heat up some soup for tea now - our favourite, chicken and veges. I've got sticky date pudding and cream for dessert tonight.

Have a lovely Monday everyone and enjoy the nice weather.

Re: Windy Monday.

Good afternoon - thankfully the super-heat has abated here and it's back to being just warm. Which is nice. We missed all the deluge that was happening to the east and north of London. Not a drop here 40 miles west of the capital.

Not much to report apart from that. Work is going well, home is as per usual. Rude husband, rude kids. Cute cats.

Re: Windy Monday.

Evening all, Dinky you will be tucked up on bed now.
Must admit I'll be going soon.
Wonderful weekend away with friends for the fair.
I spent a small fortune on some very special dolls.
Packed up another case this morning and in Scotland now for the next 5 weeks.
Hubby going back home to work tomorrow so just my youngest son and myself with the dogs.
Dinky, how lovely that Miracle is bringing Willows toys in to you, so very special.
Pamela have you been out on the bikes?
Yola sorry you are having to deal with rude males.
