Tuesday daily

Good afternoon, it's bright and sunny here for the most part which is a blessed relief after all that rain. At least the chickens get a little fresh air and a good scratch of the grass.

I took deliver today of 2 cat shelters for the back garden. These are for the stray/feral boys that hang around us as I cannot bear to see them getting soaked and with the bad winter coming (they predict) they will have some shelter. They are hard wearing igloos which I've put in sheltered parts of the garden. Old towels and blankets will take the edge off the cold I hope.

Here's a pic of them in the living room.

and here is one in place by the wall.

I got them through Amazon, a bit expensive I suppose but at least I have satisfaction that I'm doing something

You have a lovely kind heart Nette - hope those wee scampy-tramps appreciate it!

Been a better day weather wise here too, at least brightish and a bit colder. Cats have been indoors, so it must be turning colder.

OH is out again this evening with Dora for training and so I shall be snuggled up in front of the log burner with Monty Bogle.

Hope all are having/have had a good day.

The shelters look great PP, hope they get well used! A mixed day here, chilly but bright enough to risk hanging laundry out- it's not quite dry but is drier!
Our lot are definitely less keen to venture out, they are fair weather furries.
Hope all are well.

Re: Tuesday daily

Great cat houses PP. At my Mum's in Mid Wales at the mo. Back home tomorrow. One of Mum's cats, Essie, fetched a mouse in last night and dropped it in a slipper so I gave its freedom outside and stopped the cats going out after it. Essie was quite cross.

Have you thought about clean straw for the cat houses PP? Its very warm and cats can make a nest.

Been a lovely day here. Got the big shed ready for the cattle to come in. 3 Hereford heifers, 2 young Highland bulls and an 8 month old Hereford bull calf. All pens ready with automatic water troughs, loads of straw and plenty of silage. Marvellous. The sheep will follow in shortly.

Hope all furries and non furries are well.
