I've never had any problems with them either. I guess it depends on the driver - sounds like in this case he was a bit of a plonker

Re: parcelforce - stupid delivery man

Its a franchised company if i remember correctly, meaning that each branch of it is owned by different people and they pay to use the "parcelforce" brand name. That means each branch has its own rules, regulations etc so each branches customer service levels will be different.

Re: parcelforce - stupid delivery man

Hmmm - having worked for a company that runs one of the most successful franchise operations in the country there is an element of truth in what you write Dearster, but all franchisees have to undertake to operate to a centrally-determined set of rules, service levels and terms and conditions.

So yes, each will respond in a different way, but essentially the Percelforce brand will need to be protected irrespective of who is running/managing the particular franchise.

Re: parcelforce - stupid delivery man

I've had other stuff before from Parcelforce and never a problem. I'm not picking on them generally!!!

Just this particular delivery man, who clearly was a sandwich short of a picnic on the day in question!!!

As I understand it from Parcelforce, he is having to pay me the compensation himself - as it was his foolish error and not that of the company.
