How do you know measurements? What patterns are there? I've never bought a cat harness before. I want one just like Rovers, in Bluebell size.

Re: Rover's new harness.

You measure around her neck - you want a measurement that is comfortably firm (if you've ever been measured for clothes - same sort of thing) and that won't slip over her head. Then the same for just behind her "elbows". Maybe the distance between where you want the neck-bit and the chest bit as well, if she's a patient girl and hasn't run off with your tape-measure yet. "Close enough" is good enough, the neck- and chest-straps can easily be made to expand or contract to fit. Then you pick the pattern you want from what is available for the collars. And Robert is your mother's brother.
Just about anything light-weight will do for a lead. Dog-lead, shoelace, extending-cord lead, Rover's tried them all.

Robert is your mothers brother

thanks for that. I'll have to get measuring. & It would have to be a very posh shoe lace for Bluebell to walk on.

Right. After a few more of these:

He finally stod still for three seconds, right way up and reasonably tidy:

Early night for me - worn out climbing, ducking, coercing, grumbling, thinking I had
a one-in-a-million shot only to discover the camera had gone to sleep...

He's hiding just higher than the centre of the photo. You can only just make out a baleful eye and some tabby stripes in the dark.
