That's a huge commitment and brave IMO. I hope that in the long term it will improve cat welfare in Western Australia.

I think it's six of one and half dozen of the other. There is bound to be exceptions for Show /breeding cats.

I do believe we need to do something and I would be happy to register our cats, they are already neutered/spayed and microchipped.

If everyone had to get their cat microchipped we could return hundreds if not more lost kittens and cats. As it is it is amazing the amount of "I didn't know you could get a cat microchipped" I have had said to me. How many finding or taking in a stray would even think to check for a m.chip
