Kazz, there are some units with balconies, but they are hard to get; I had sort of hoped for one, but was happy to settle for one with a double window, garden view and just down the hall from the greenhouse. I probably would have worried myself sick about Leia taking a leap at a passing bird had I gotten one; probably just as well. .......

Yes I agree a doubled edged sword for pet owner.
