He has a type of arthritis Moli, high and low ring bone both articular and non articular and sidebones in both feet. He was huntsman's horse as a youngster and was just hammered He has Synoquin (glucosamine and chondroitin), and bute everyday, remedial shoes and I give him a course of antiarthritic injections evry six months...this has kept him well up until now....we are wondering if we will have another winter with him He is only 16ish and should be in the prime of his life

Re: Better a day to early or a day to late?

We had a fright at Christmas time with Fifi. She had been chewing some dried leaves on the flowers in a vase and suddenly started choking. She went into a fit and all her limbs went rigid, I was on the floor with her immediately and as I was looking into her face, I could see the light going out in her eyes. I was panicking and rubbing her body vigorously, and all of a sudden she started spluttering and came back to us and ran off in a fright.

The vets kept her in and checked her over and she was OK in the end, but yes - it was all in the eyes and I've never been so scared.
