Off colour??

Maud seems off colour this evening. She's refusing to eat, even Lucky's 'posh' food that they all go crackers for if they can get to it She had her booster today and was microchipped at the same time. Do you think it could be related to this?? She has never been unwell before when she has been vaccinated

Re: Off colour??

Fran, Cassie is nearly always subdued after her booster, just wants to sleep. I'm sure she will feel more her old self tomorrow. I've been thinking of getting Cassie microchipped next time she goes to the vet.....

Re: Off colour??

They love Lucky's food that it seems so strange that she is refusing to eat it. Hope it is just the jabs and not some reaction to the microchip?? I usually have them chipped when they are neutered whilst they are under anaesthetic save them the trauma but since she hasn't yet been speyed she hadn't been done. So I took the plunge to get it done today

Re: Off colour??

Yes she is only a little cat anyhow, can't afford not to eat...unlike Sylvester who could starve for a fortnight and still be overweight

Well it's funny you should mention her Mags...she has been doing great up until today, she has started to fall over again a little just today. So it looks like she needs to go back onto the steroid tablets (the vet did think this might happen) and will probably need them for the rest of her life now. She had a reducing dose of them until they stopped completely but the vet said if she starts to fall over again then she will have to go back on them for life

Re: Off colour??

general deterioration of the joints, muscle wastage and probably a bit of arthritis...just 'getting old' as the vet put it. Because she is a very inactive girl now she has quite bad muscle wastage and stiff joints...
