Easter Sunday.

Good morning everyone.
A very hot Easter Sunday it has been today with temperatures reaching 28 degrees. it was meant to be windy but it certainly wasn't in my area.We had to put our clocks back one hour last night due to daylight saving ,so already it's very dark outside, although it's only 6.45pm.

Spent the morning with my grandchildren because Brenna and Jared decided to go to a coffee shop and didn't want to take the wee ones. They came back here for lunch and we had cheese toasties. I got a lovely Easter hamper from them and i felt a bit stingy as i only had eggs for the children. Janna also gave me a carob egg, as did my sister, so I'm all set for my sweet treats for a bit. I don't really have chocolate now as i don't want caffeine, but i do have carob.

This afternoon, I cut up a pile of cardboard boxes that the cat litter comes in, and i put them in the recycling bin to go out on Tuesday. They had been cluttering up the back conservatory for ages, so I was pleased to get rid of them.

My cousin won $150 last night at the casino and Michael, her son ,won over $300, so they were both very lucky.

PAMELA, when i did eat chocolate, my favourite was Cadburys as well. it does have a much nicer flavour, doesn't it ? Gosh, you must have been tired last night with all that exercise. Bikers Cove sounds spectacular, and I'm sure that your mum and dad must have really enjoyed that boat trip under the bridges, despite the rain. You are so lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the world. My cousin gave me a chocolate bunny with hokey pokey bits in it, and i gave her a bag of Cadbury mixed eggs.I didn't have the heart to tell her that i no longer eat chocolate, but Janna will certainly enjoy it. Your dad will be looking forward to that yummy dinner at your place today.Yummy, those lamb shanks sound great. Are they hard to do ? You'll have to let me know.

SHELLEY,you have been busy yesterday. Family church must be really enjoyed by youngsters, especially when they get to make things. It was good of you to help out. Yes, I bet you can't wait for the car boot sales to start up again.I'm sure it won't be much longer. Thanks for letting me know about The Chosen. I would very much love to see it, so will download the app. Hopefully i can do it OK.

KAZZ, hope you and Gert are doing well and enjoying some nice weather over Easter.

YOLA, hope you, too, are enjoying your Easter break with your family, and that your sore heel isn't causing you too much grief.

Well everyone, I wish you all the happiest of Easter Sundays. I do hope that everyone gets a nice big yummy Easter egg to enjoy, and the sun shines for everyone today.

Re: Easter Sunday.

Happy Easter everyone. Didnt get a chance to reply yesterday as we were busy in the morning trying to get lamb for dinner and didnt realise it is a tradition at Easter!! Ended up not having lamb shank. I saw a recipe on the TV in the morning that used lamb so did that instead. It was a lamb joint cooked on top of potatoes and veg with a red wine and stock as the sauce. Slow cooked in the oven for 4 hours. Was lovely!! Dad really enjoyed it too

Dinky that was great that both your cousin and her son won money! Definitely lucky!! Your morning with the grandkids sounds lovely. I bet they enjoyed spending the time with you and janna. I do hope Janna enjoys the extra chocolate as well!!

We have woken up.to.a dusting of snow this morning!! After the sun we had the other day!! No motorbikes today so carpet shopping it is for a new stair carpet as many shops reopen after lockdown today

Shelley, yola and kazz I hope you had a lovy Easter
