Another hot ,hot Monday.

Good morning everyone.
it's Monday, early evening here after another hot day of 28 degrees, but tomorrow is looking better with a high of 21 degrees with rain in the evening., thank goodness.Still no sign of the part for my air con, and as my model is pretty old, I may look at getting a new one altogether. Eliot can install it for me if I decide to go down that path.I only really need it for the summer months, as I prefer to use the electric fire for winter, to heat the room. I find the air con on warm tends to dry the air and gives me bad sinus. It's brilliant on cold though.

Had an OK day. Did a bit of vacuuming again in the back conservatory, but still can't get a lot of the white fur up off that carpet.I used the furminator on the chairs and the cat tower out the back and they look good now. This afternoon, the cardiologist's nurse rang me back (finally) She told me that Dr McClean wants me to go on that medication and has sent a prescription for it through to my pharmacy, to be picked up tomorrow. She also sent me a form for blood tests to be done on the 14th, in order to monitor me on this medication. i told her that my own doctor had warned me off this medication and why, and she didn't take kindly to that. She said that i was under a specialist for my condition, not my own doctor, and I must follow the specialist's orders. I don't want her to ring my own doctor and cause any trouble, so I'm going to start this new med. and see a dietician to work out a low potassium diet. Evidently, this med can raise potassium levels with some horrific side effects..I'll make sure i have very regular blood tests., and see how I go. No more bananas for me, and i really like them too.

SHELLEY, hopefully the rain has stopped for you today. How exciting planning your next holiday in the caravan. Yes it was Palm Sunday on Sunday and even though I didn't go to church, my sister got me a blessed palm. It wasn't in a cross shape though.. It's nice that Chris is at home with you and Howard. My youngest daughter, Janna, is still at home with me too, and we get on so well.I'm sure he will love those sweatshirts, and appreciate that buffet. meal.

PAMELA, I do hope your headache has cleared now, and you are feeling much better. Brenna recommends a baby's amber teething necklace in an adult size, to help with migraines. Evidently it's something in the amber. She also got a stud put into a certain pressure point inside one of her ears to help, and she hasn't had a migraine since. Having the ear piercing inside her ear was very painful though, and it has to be done in exactly the right spot. Don't think I would like that much. !

YOLA, hope that heel pain of yours is getting a bit better now., and that you had a great weekend.

KAZZ,hope all is well with you and Gert and you are still continuing your rubbish collecting.

Well everyone, hope you all have a good Monday and the sun shines for each of you. today.

Re: Another hot ,hot Monday.

I had my covid vaccine on Saturday evening. Oh boy. I spent the whole of yesterday sleeping, felt SO unwell. Today is better but feel very wobbly so am working from my bed. Just hope nobody wants a video call as I look a fright. Dexter has been by my side almost constantly; even Kiki came up and prodded me yesterday with her paw. Good idea to see the source of food is still breathing I guess ...

Dinky - it IS a dilemma with the meds. Hopefully once your condition stabilises you can wean yourself off them. I managed to do that with the monster anti inflammatories the doctor gave me. They can cause stomach bleeding so I was keen to get off them asap. Took a good few months though.

Shelley - I remember the little palms they would give out at church. My Mum would always tuck it behind the 'Our Lady' icon picture she had on her wall and would change them out each year as she got a new one.

Pamela - migraines are grim. My husband gets them. What tends to trigger yours?

Kazz - hope all the washing dried. It was cold and drizzly here much of the weekend.

Afternoon, sunny and windy here.
Chris liked his sweatshirts very much and is looking forward to his buffet.
Yola, its horrible when the vaccine affects you like that, hope you are feeling more like soon.
Your comment about being the cats food source made me laugh.
Dinky I hope you go on alright with the meds, very bad that the medics disagree.

Evening everyone,

Dinky, how frustrating it must be to be given conflicting information and advice about the BP tablets. Please be careful on the medication. I also hope you can get your air con sorted.

Yola, sorry to hear you had abad reaction to the vaccine, i do hope you are starting to feel better now. I love how cats know when you are feeling off, my Skye is always at my side if im not well or having a low day, she is soo good.

Shelley, glad Chris liked his sweatshirts and hope he enjoys his buffet.

I was working today, started early for a bit of overtime. Was a long day!! Was out running tonight and completed my first 10k in about ayear, was hard going but we done it!!

I am definitely taking SKye back to a different vet, the mark on her neck that i thought was Harris, im not so so sure now as a tuft of fur is missing so she has a bald patch and it is where the booster would have been given to her, the patch appeared the day after her jag i didnt think about the connection until she was up on my knee today and i was having a good look at it. Will bring it up with my vet, I am tempted to not continue getting her boosters next year but i dont know how it will work with the insurance, need to check it out.
