Ha ha ha it could only happen to me.

Well what a wonderful week we had! We ate out every evening, had cocktails on the balcony, get the picture? I'll post some later.
Friday our last day arrived. We packed, checked and double checked everything. We had to be out the apt by 12, which was a pain as out flight wasn't til 6.30 am. There were n spare rooms we could pay for either but the hotel had a "safe" room for our cases and a shower room we could use. Ha ha. When I went for a shower there were 3 showers, all in use and a cue out the door of people waiting. I gave up and just freshened up a little.
We had a little pick nick on the beach at 11.30pm then went back to the hotel to wait for the bus which was picking us up at 3.30am.
Everything was plain sailing. Even Ceilidh took it all in her stride. We had a nap on the plane, got into Newcastle spot on time.
Then disaster struck!!! Now dont you dare laugh!!!! I went into my bag to get the car keys.......... Oh no they were still in Spain laying on a shelf in the "safe" room!!! It took two RAC men and a private recovery firm hours to get my car out the airport car park as it was deadlocked and really squished in between two other cars. In the end they put it on roller skates and loaded it onto a recovery wagon. We were then brought up to Edinburgh with our luggage in the back of the van. We should have been back at 11am. We got home at 6.30pm. Oh the joys of being blond. Thank goodness I had a spare key at home.

Glad you enjoyed your holiday Jac - sorry it ended so traumatically though. Will the hotel be able to return your keys to you?

But hey, you have the experience to deal with it with humour and grace. ^^ Wouldn't want the same thing to happen to a poor brunette, now would you?

Welcome back! I'm glad it was only the last part of the holiday that was less than ideal.
