Poor Monty, you need to have an O'Tom tick remover. It looks like a teeny tiny plastic crowbar and you prise the tick out, they're very satisfying to use! I don't think there is anything that you can use which will deter ticks unfortunately, there is one (can't remember the name) but it's toxic to cats I think so that's not much use. |

I will certainly look into getting a tick remover - anywhere else I'd try myself, but not so near his eye - he's such a squiggler, I suspect the vet will say to leave it to fall out on its own. |
