Abi - not herself :(

I'm not sure if I'm over-reacting but something doesn't seem right with Abi today and yesterday.

She's really quiet - which isn't normal for her (typical Siamese!), she's not eating much and her coat seems really dull and greasy. She was also a tiny bit sick last night, but it was just about a teaspoon full amount of liquid.

Her third eyelid is over a bit too - but then it sometimes is anyway, just with the shape of her Siamese eyes.

I even gave them a special Easter dinner tonight and the others wolfed theirs down, but Abi had a few mouthfuls and then just walked away.

She normally always sits with me too - in fact she normally follows me everywhere - but tonight she's curled in the radiator bed and doesn't seem to care about sitting with me. It's just not like her.

I will take her for a check up on Tuesday, but perhaps I'm just being paranoid.

Re: Abi - not herself :(

I hope it is just something she may have eaten. Does she go outside? Sometimes that puts them off their food for a day or so. And if she was a little sick then that might also be a symptom of eating something a bit "icky".

Hope she feels better after a good nights sleep.

Good point Donna.............she does chase flies. Perhaps she has eaten a dodgy fly or something in the garden today

Fingers crossed she's better tomorrow.

Thank you.

You know your own cat, and she definitely sounds as if she's not her usual self....not paranoia at all. If she's not better, I'd take her in; hope it was just something dodgy she ate, and that she's better tomorrow!

Really?????? Like heat-stroke???? I suppose it's possible in cats.

She's definitely been drinking water, as she prefers it from the kitchen tap, so I tend to notice!!!

If you have a feeling something is not quite right - however minor then go see the vet, as Dm says you know your own cat - you really do even if you don't believe it.

But if you think it may be a tummy upset due to a dodgy "self caught meal" ........then she should be fine just keep an eye on her.
