Re: Snowy friday

Hope the snow isn't going to cause you too much trouble Kazz, we've not got any here but it's very cold, everything's still frozen including the disinfectant we keep in a watering can by the back door to wash over where Morgan pees!

Hubby has been writing his cards this morning and I've just finished making the almond paste for the cake, it's now in clingfilm chilling for a bit. I've also been moving the furniture around a bit to make room for the tree, but I'm not getting that Christmas feeling just yet!

Re: Snowy friday

Hello Kazz, MrsH and all who follow .......... we had an icing sugar dusting of snow to wake up to and -6 but it has warmed to 0 now. We are doing furniture moving and tree bringing in. OH is cleaning the lounge. I am in the laundry and tidying the kitchen ready for it's pre Xmas clean tomorrow.

Keep warm and upright everyone. Thoughts are with our Scottish members today. Pictures on the News have looked awful.

Re: Snowy friday

Hello folks,
been to work this morning, not in again untill early Jan.
No snow here yet, but very cold. Hoping to go back to Haworth on Sun, it's Nativity weekend.
Been over to see an old friend this afternoon.
Bit of a get together tonight for a lonely neighbour and that's about all for now.

Re: Snowy friday

Hi people!
We got 1.5" of snow yesterday; streets have been plowed, buses running, and my lovely neighbor shovelled my walk. Still below freezing, but it is supposed to be sunny later in the day and thawing a bit. I do dislike Winter! Right now it's minus 3 (27 F). Not going out, had a lie in, paid bills and left them for the postman to pick up. Christmas cards are still trickling in; not enough yet to decorate the mantle properly; going to hang the outside door wreath later when it's a bit warmer. I'm not really Christmassy yet.

Hope everyone is staying warm, dry and upright!

Re: Snowy friday

well i spoke too soon, it is now snowing heavily and has stuck so far.
Malaika went out and was snapping at the snowflakes.
Tom has just come in with his back covered in snowflakes, tried for a pic but it melted quickly.

Re: Snowy friday

Loads of snow here, it's up to Raynes tummy. Cancelled some of my dogs today in order to cut down on some travelling. Went for a spin on some black ice yesterday and almost wet my pants, fell my full length while walking several dogs on leed, all of whom just looked at me like I was an idiot.
