Thanks so much for posting that series Kay. They made me laugh - especially the look on Saskia's little face and where she is poking her tongue out. In the "lathering" stage, I couldn't tell which part of her was which!

How often do you give her a bath?

oh my word, she is too cute for words!!! By the looks of the tongue sticking out she isn't too keen on bathing

This is Saskia's first bath, she is 7 weeks old. I will bath her every two weeks until she goes to Amber's so that she is well and truely used to being bathed. She is really good probably one of the best kittens I have had.

It is essential that Persians can cope with a bath due to the length of their coats and this is why I start bathing them young. I only use Infacare baby shampoo on them, not a cat shampoo. It is so mild and easy to rinse. Cat shampoos are to harsh for a young kitten's coat. I even use Infacare for some of my adults. Many cat shampoos can be difficult to get out of the coats (despite what has been said in 1 or 2 grooming threads lately), unless you opt for the really expensive show preparations. Infacare is really quick at rinsing out and leaves no heavy residue.

Actually Alex she is brilliant at being bathed. She doesn't struggle and isn't even bothered by the hair dryer. Joshua was playing in the background and I think she wanted to go and play rather than be dried

Thanks for the tip about Infacare Kay. I bought some grooming wipes yesterday to see if they work for Pip's grubby hocks - if not, I'll get some Infacare!

Worth a go Angie. When I used to prepare Tate for a show I used to rub neat lemon washing up liquid into any greasy or stained areas and then rinse it thoroughly out, he used to have awful stud cat tail. The lemon cuts through grease and stubborn stains. Just rinse it thoroughly out.

Poor little mite! She doesn't look happy at all, but I know that show cats have to be bathed. And she does look just gorgeous when all finished, what a cutie!
