Our pampered pets poorer relations

There are so many strays in Dubrovnik, especially in the Old Town. They appear to keep mainly to the narrow alley ways but there are plenty of bones around so I think the restaurants must be feeding them with left overs.....

Mother and kitten

This poor fella looked really ill

If only I had thought of taking a couple of boxes of cat biscuits with me..

Oh - I don't think I could bear that Mags, I'd need to sneak them all home.

Some of them do look to have a sheen on their fur though. But I just feel for the one that was obviously poorly.

I think that one was very ill CM, that awful 'gunge' was coming out of its mouth continually... You feel so helpless when you see them like that

Heartbreaking to see so many of them homeless. But a lot of them look pretty well, not emaciated and their fur is well groomed, amazing how cats keep themselves so clean in those conditions , poor waifs. That sick one almost made me cry ....

They were very friendly Moli, maybe just the odd one or two cowered away. The others would come up to you if you spoke to them and they were obviously looking for food...

The poor little darlings, it is heartbreaking to see them out on the streets on their own like that .
That cat that looked soooooo ill had me in tears it is such a shame that some have to suffer like that .
It`s a pity that they can`t be fetched back home.

Re: Our pampered pets poorer relations

Oh Mags that poor poorly one.

I couldn't bear it in Turkey, all those kittens, if I could have taken them home I would have but that's only a very small percentage anyway, at least the ones I saw were being fed by the residents of the hotel at least.

It's so very sad, we saw a dog on the beach too in Turkey who had clearly not long had pups, no idea where they were, poor animals.
