Sardines

Well if any of you fancy giving your cat a weekly treat of sardines (Cleo has them twice a week) to keep her 'regular' as she is older now well this week I have tried Asda's own '19p' each tin in tomato sauce Cleo adores them she drinks the tomato sauce and eats a little of the sardine.

Re: Sardines

I think it helps as they get older, had a little problem with Cleo and constipation (enough that she was worrying me to death) the sardines seem to have helped beyond all my wildest dreams with no vets intervention

Re: Sardines

You come up with some good tips Kazz, I'm still adding the water to Cassie's food and she loves it!

You should start a thread in Health and Nutrition where members can add all their useful tips

Re: Sardines

Yes Kazz, I get mine from Asda for the Cats too, and for the dogs, they all love them and at that price really cheap meals for now and again.
Dawn.

Re: Sardines

My dogs have those as part of their raw diet Kazz because they don't tolerate raw fish too well. I think the are the smart price range at Asda...and yes my cats love them too

Re: Sardines

Some of you may remember Patches, who passed away at 20 this Spring: well, she adored sardines, but the ones in olive oil; never constipated. And Misty, who passed at 19 1/2 was also a sardine lover. Leia looks at them in horror and tries to bury them; maybe I should try the ones in tomato sauce......

Re: Sardines

Never tried sardines but might just give them a go. Kitty constipation is never a problem in our household . . . . they get through litter like it's going out of fashion
