I have only just caught up with this, and am so glad to hear that it is only a furball, and has been removed. I am sure the inflammation is nothing to worry about.

Darcy's home - hurrah!!!!! Ealier than I would have liked, but he was refusing to eat or drink and getting quite bolshie with the nurses and vets.

1st thing he did when let out of his carrier was to have a long drink and an even longer wee

He's now reclining on the floor frantically washing the vet practice smell off himself.

I have to take him back for a checkup just before lunch tomorrow . . . . but I won't be 100% happy until I know he's out of the woods with both the biopsy results and the peritonitis risk.

That doesn't sound like a desperately ill cat to me. Bolshie with the staff, dear me. Of course you'll have to wait for the results, but at last you have your cat reasonably fighting fit and back where he belongs.
