Jimmy's not good.

I think I'm going to have a difficult decision to make about Jimmy soon. He is very thin now and I have to help him poop. He has stopped sleeping on the window sill and now has a bed beside Misty near the radiator. He's still eating and likes a scratch, but his walking is a bit 'rocky' and he is just so thin. He gets up and is always looking for his food and eats well- I've started feeding him and Misty extra during the day.
He has another acupuncture session on Friday and I'll have a talk with the vet then. His weight loss may be because his thyroid is high again and we have held off testing because of his anaemia. Its so hard knowing which way to go next.

Re: Jimmy's not good.

Very sorry to hear this Farthing, it's so sad when our pets are ill. It does sound to me as if his thyroid is causing him to lose weight and be constantly looking for food.
I'm sorry i can't offer any advice but am sending best wishes your way and for Jimmy.

Poor Jimmy, fingers crossed the vet can test his thyroid level soon and meds can help him.
