Re: Just rushed Jimmy into the vet.

Just a quick update on the cats.

Fluffy is doing well and the vet was pleased at her post op check because there is very little swelling around the wound. She seems calmer today and I'm not sure if this means her thyroid levels are dropping or she is just getting used to being in a cage.

Jimmy is still weak but had a wee wander around the room today and was rubbing back with his cheeks when I rubbed him. Obviously still very worried about him, but he is feeling better I think. I've been joking with the vets, that now he is on anabolic steriods he will turn into Jimmy the panther and rip everybody's hands off- they don't think this will happen.
Will keep you updated.

Glad the news on your two patients is promising farthing. Kizzy and I will still mention them to The Great Cat during our evening chats though.

Hope you also are feeling a bit better?

I am glad they are doing very well, like your imagination about the steroids, it's good to keep good humor

Re: Just rushed Jimmy into the vet.

I've been offline for a week so just catching up with this. What a dreadful stressful time you've been having! it looks as though things are a bit more on the up now which must be a huge relief. I hope the progress continues for both Fluffy and Jimmy (((hugs)))

Re: Just rushed Jimmy into the vet.

Just a quick update on Jimmy.
He seems to be stronger every day, still weak on his back legs but his head is up when I go in and he is getting up for food. He has even pooped 3 times on his own- a single roundel each time, but still he is managing himself. Feeling more positive about him, but still not sure how long it will last.
Fluffy is doing well, and she is in tomorrow for another post op check and possibly bloods to check her calcium levels, although I think she has passed the most risky time- so feeling fairly optomistic, although scared to get too cocky as we all know how quickly things can change!
