Ripening at last!

The first of my tomatoes ripening today!

Thank goodness I don't have one of Eileen's pesky squirrels around!

Re: Ripening at last!

We're all getting exasperated!
Nice looking crop Mags - like me, lots of fruit, good size but sooo slow to ripen.
However - I picked 6 today. Nice size, so a pound and a half I would think.
My tumbler tomatoes, in a pot on the patio, have gone crazy. Tons of foliage and now a nice lot of green cherry toms, waiting to ripen. I've planted a couple of geraniums in with them, to give them the idea of what red is! (So saying, I think they only ripen to orange, but I'd need to find the seed packet to confirm)

I think I would prefer you to hang on to those little destroyers, thank you Eileen

I wonder what Cassie would make of a squirrel?

I hope she never gets near one! Anything that can crack black walnuts with its teeth is nothing I want my cats to encounter!!!

You would laugh out of the other side of your mouth, Tom, if you'd been waiting for a real homegrown tomato since last year and then had the thieving varmint steal it just as it was ripe!!! Twice!!!! T'aint funny!!
