Elsa and the great outdoors

Clementine is a semi house cat she goes for a wander known agen but not often any more. now i would like Elsa to be an indoor cat, now i know that she is a cross of two very docile breeds who arent outdoors inclined (BSH and Persian) so i was wondering will she just be naturally home keeping, or will she need to be trained to be have her limits?
