Kita is splendid! I am not really a dog person Kay but can I guess at GS and quite young? That coat must take some brushing!

Re: Kita taken today

Angie she is actually a Tervueren which is one of the four varities of Belgian Shepherd. The are a lot finer than the GSDs.

She is now 8 months and in the very bouncy 'tigger' stage, which can last until they are about 4 . So getting pics can be fun and games. I think OH took about 20 but was only happy with these . Absolutely everything distracts her at the moment in particular the seagulls flying overhead, then the ids playing, dogs barking, cars and so on .

Well, I was right about young anyway! I did think she looked finer boned than a "normal" GS!

Bet she keeps you well exercised and on your toes!

Oooh, how did I miss Kita! She's gorgeous Kay! I love the belgian shepherds, the tervuren and groenendaels especially.

She certainly does........but she is usually standing on my toes

Thanks. I love GSDs but I do prefer the BSD with their finer boning. The Tervs and the Groenes are my favourites too. I can't quite get my head round the Malis short coat and I am reserving judgement on the Laekenois

Thank you Shelley. She is pretty but boy does she know it . She might be the youngest but she is boss......well of the dogs anyway . They are not as common as the GSDs so you may not have seen one before. I will get some pics of the other three varities to show the difference

Re: Kita taken today

This is a Groenendael. They are long coated like Kita but black.

This is the Malinois. Which is the same colouring as Kita but short coated.

And finally the Laekenois which has a wiry coat.

Thanks for posting those pictures Kay. Like Shelley, I don't think I've come across a Belgian Shepherd before.
