Wanted..Catac heated bed

I'm looking to buy a Catac heated bed. Wondered if anybody had one they no longer use and would be willing to sell? Not bothered which size, will consider any.

Thank you

Re: Wanted..Catac heated bed

Didn't know what a Catac bed was so I've been off to google. Nice!!! But expensive!
I guess this is for mum'n'kits in the future?

Was only going to say that 2 Snugglesafe microwaveable pads will give you the ability to have constant heat in a bed for about £36. (Take one out, put one in; each one will give heat for well over 12 hours) Prob not big enough for a brood though?

No, actually it's for Morse's stud house. I wouldn't use it for young kittens as the whole base is heated and they wouldn't be able to get away from the heat source if they were too warm but I think it would be ideal for Morsey's house...

Ah - you might look at the Snugglesafes then? No electricity, so no chance of him having a chew of the wire if he feels a bit bored. I found when I was using them for Tizzie at the end, when I had to make her sleep in the kitchen, that they held their heat for well over the 12 hours I think they are advertised as.

Re: Wanted..Catac heated bed

Yes, I did think about snugglesafes but I was thinking it rather inconvenient to have to keep warming them up We've put a tubular heater in there too but Meezers are such nesh creatures that I don't think it will be enough for him. The wires aren't an issue, hubby will sort something out to make sure he can't get at them.

This time of year is no problem but I do really think he would appreciate one of these beds in winter....

Re: Wanted..Catac heated bed

I've Googled too!!!

I love the Catac heated igloo beds - they look cool!!!

How about just getting on of the rigid heat pads and putting it in a bed??? It would be cheaper too.

I have a heatpad just like that (not sure if it's Catac brand tho) and had it in the kitten pen when Lily had her babies. It fitted perfectly in a box and they loved it.......as did Auntie Abi!!!

Re: Wanted..Catac heated bed

those snuggle safe ones are quite hard work. My friend uses one if she has to take kittens to the vets or isolate any kittens and she is forever warming them up.
You can sometimes get those heated beds on ebay but not sure how much cheaper they are
