The Onion Store

Can't remember if this is where we're supposed to put travel etc - so here goes.
Pics of our base for the wekend. Very nice. The nearest town is Romsey, which is lovely. We went to Southampton first, on Friday, and walked along the waterfront and saw the Queen Mary 2 and the Adriana, tied up waiting to take people on i suppose. They are HUGE!
Saturday we went through the New Forest (ponies!) down to Lymington and across to the Isle of Wight (Yarmouth). A mini-cruise!

Here are the pics

(thought the built in sun-deck was a good idea)

Look at this yummy bath!

All in all, a very pleasant weekend (including the scrambled egg and smoked salmon breakfast!). Old clothes & porridge for 10 days and then we have a weekend in Stockhom from next Thursday. (This is the year we were just going to do a late summer wek in Greece and that's all! Everything else has come up unexpectedly)

Re: The Onion Store

That looks seriously restful and peaceful!!! I adore the New Forest - sadly most of my time is spent zipping through it in the car

Glad you had a wonderful time - it certainly is the kind of place I'd enjoy!!

It looks really lovely. Glad you had a good time. Romsey is a quaint little place, it was the home of the late Earl Mountbatten, you can (or could?) visit his house & gardens. I love the New Forest too, we were there visiting relatives last week-end.
