Amaryllis

These are last years and the year before's amaryllis reblooming. A lot of people discard them after they've bloomed, but they'll rebloom with minimal care for several years. I just keep mine watered and then put them outside on the front terrace. The one on the left is last years and has two bud stalks, the other is the year before with one. Not in the picture is is three years ago, it only has one bud stalk, but it bloomed outside this Summer, so was surprised that it's blooming again. Hope you enjoy this picture, I'm having fun with the new camera!Whoops, pic didn't attach, sorry, will try again...

Re: Amaryllis

No, I've been using the simple instructions for attachments available to Sponsors: Tom explained how to do this and it's been working just fine so far: you click on Manage Attachments. then click on Browse in the pop-up window, pick photo from Desktop, click on Open then Upload. When it's finished uploading, says Close This Window, and then it's attached as a thumbnail. I don't know how to do that copy and paste thing.

But you can, Fran! They're so simple even people without green thumbs can do it... just buy one of the already potted bulbs ( a tad pricier, but well worth it!), water and put in a sunny window, and that's it! And if you want to keep it, water it after it's bloomed and put it outside for the Summer. Doesn't need re-potting, they like to be pot-bound. Those in the pic are in the original pots they came in. Lots of beauty with mininal care...that's a good house plant!
